According to the <strong>Royal Decree<\/strong> issued at that time, the composition highlights the following elements that still define us today:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The Environment:<\/strong> At the base, \u201ca lagoon of water of its color\u201d, representing our unmistakable Lake P\u00e1tzcuaro.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>La Fe:<\/strong> On a rock or island, a church rises, a symbol of the primitive Cathedral and the head of the bishopric.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The Guardians:<\/strong> Flanking the church are the figures of the apostles <strong>Saint Peter and Saint Paul<\/strong>, protectors of the city.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The Border:<\/strong> Frequently framed in blue and silver, colors that, according to tradition, allude to Marian purity and the waters of the lake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, this coat of arms can be seen on various official buildings and documents, reminding us of the royal lineage of this city of cobbled streets and tiled roofs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Historia y Significado (1553) El T\u00edtulo de Ciudad (1553) La importancia de P\u00e1tzcuaro en la Nueva Espa\u00f1a fue reconocida oficialmente por la Corona el 21 de julio de 1553.
