it occupies a beautiful <\/span><b class=\"\">mansion from the late 19th century<\/b><span class=\"\">.<\/span><span class=\"\"> Then,<\/span><span class=\"\"> the Cuauht\u00e9moc Forest was called \"Paseo de San Pedro\" and was the fashionable area where wealthy families from Morelia built their vacation villas or country houses.<\/span><span class=\"\"> Upon entering,<\/span><span class=\"\"> look at the French-style architecture (typical of the Porfiriato),<\/span><span class=\"\"> with high ceilings and corridors that now house fossils instead of Victorian furniture.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"9\">\ud83d\udc68\u200d\u2695\ufe0f Who was Manuel Mart\u00ednez Sol\u00f3rzano?<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"10\"><span class=\"\">The museum is named after an illustrious Michoac\u00e1n native:<\/span> <b class=\"\">Manuel Mart\u00ednez Sol\u00f3rzano<\/b><span class=\"\"> (1862-1924).<\/span><span class=\"\"> It was much more than a name on a plaque:<\/span><span class=\"\"> doctor,<\/span><span class=\"\"> professor at the College of San Nicol\u00e1s and a passionate naturalist who dedicated his life to studying the flora and geology of Michoac\u00e1n.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"11\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"11,0,0\"><b class=\"\">The important fact:<\/b><span class=\"\"> He was known for his altruism;
