Next to the Convention Center (CECONEXPO) stands a futuristic structure that looks like it landed from space: it's the <b>Morelia Planetarium \u201cLic. Felipe Rivera\u201d<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"6\">Inaugurated on <b>September 29, 1975<\/b>This place is a classic for families in Morelia and a jewel of optical engineering that has withstood the digital age.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"7\">\ud83d\udd2d The German Heart: The Mark IV<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"8\">What makes this planetarium special is not just its size, but the machine at its center: a projector <b>Carl Zeiss Mark IV<\/b>, a marvel of German engineering designed by Walther Bauersfeld. Unlike modern digital projectors, this optical \u201crobot\u201d with <b>175 lenses<\/b> works with mesmerizing mechanical precision. It is capable of projecting more than <b>8,000 stars<\/b> in its semi-spherical dome 20 meters in diameter.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"9\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><b>The experience:<\/b> Watching the Mark IV light up is magical. You can observe the daily rotation of the sky, the movement of the planets, and feel immersed in the universe with a \"deep black\" quality that digital screens sometimes envy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"10\">\u2604\ufe0f Cosmic Architecture<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"11\">Before entering, take a moment to admire the exterior. The building was designed with <b>comet shape<\/b>, evoking the movement of the stars. Its interior is no less impressive: the floor plan is shaped like a <b>eight-pointed star<\/b>. Felipe Rivera\u201d in honor of an illustrious Michoacan (originally from Zinap\u00e9cuaro) who, being a lawyer by profession and an astronomer at heart, discovered a Nova star in the constellation of Perseus in 1901.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"15\">\ud83d\udccd Why visit it from P\u00e1tzcuaro?<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"16\">It's the perfect getaway if you're traveling with children or teenagers who need a break from viceregal history. It's educational, engaging, and visually stunning.
