Located south of the city, the Benito Juarez Zoo - Park It is not just a place to see animals; it is an institution with history and one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in all of Latin America.

Fundado el September 30, 1970, this place was born from a curious dream: its precursor, Jesús Guzmán Villicaña, was inspired after working on Disneyland and proposed creating an amusement park in Morelia. The project evolved, and thanks to Governor Carlos Rodríguez Betancourt, the old and traditional “Parque Juárez” was transformed into a home for thousands of species.

🏆 Why is it so important?

This is not local exaggeration.
