If P\u00e1tzcuaro is the place to connect with your roots and the tranquility of the lake, then the Rose Garden<\/b> In Morelia, it's the place to connect with romance, good conversation, and classical music.<\/p>\n

This is undoubtedly the favorite public space for locals and tourists alike, a favorite for over 50 years. Located in the heart of the Historic Center, it's a long, narrow passageway filled with trees, green umbrellas, and a constant murmur of social life.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udfbc The Secret of His Name (and His Nickname)<\/b> Although its official name is Luis Gonz\u00e1lez Guti\u00e9rrez Garden<\/b> (named after a teacher at the College of Saint Nicholas), if you ask for him by that name, nobody will be able to tell you where he is!<\/p>\n

People affectionately began calling the students \"the little roses.\" Legend has it that on Sundays they were allowed to look out from the balconies, and their suitors would arrive punctually to throw roses at them<\/b> from the garden. \ud83c\udf39\ud83d\udc91<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \ud83c\udfb9 Music in the Air<\/b> What makes this place unique is its soundtrack. Right across the street is the majestic Conservatory of Roses<\/b>, it's one of the most prestigious music schools on the continent (founded by Maestro Bernal Jim\u00e9nez). It's not uncommon to be enjoying a coffee and hear a piano, a violin, or a choir rehearsing in the distance. Furthermore, the garden is often enlivened by top-notch street artists, troubadours, and student musical groups.<\/p>\n

The must-do experience here is to sit under a green umbrella and let the hours drift by. What to order? A good local coffee, some traditional desserts, or some... enchiladas placeras<\/b> while you observe the bronze sculptures by Ignacio As\u00fansolo (placed in 1947) and the quarry stone fountain that adorns the center.<\/p>\n
