Each town places the emphasis on a different moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Research on Pur\u00e9pecha pastorelas reveals something particularly interesting: in the Lake Region they have functioned as a circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One community may stage its pastorela at Christmas; another around Three Kings Day; another later, until the route culminates in T\u00f3cuaro during the days of Candlemas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People from one town can therefore also accompany performances in neighboring communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pastorela becomes more than a theatrical work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is also a form of visiting, exchange, and reciprocity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
