Situated on the ridge of an <b>inactive volcano<\/b> (at over 2,400 meters above sea level), this site combines history, nature, and the most comprehensive panoramic view in the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"6\" class=\"translation-block\"><b>History and Cardenista Architecture (1936)<\/b> Its original name was <b>\u201cMirador Tari\u00e1curi\u201d<\/b>, in honor of the Pur\u00e9pecha king. It was built in <b>1936<\/b>, during the presidency of General <b>L\u00e1zaro C\u00e1rdenas<\/b>, as part of his vision to promote tourism in the area. The design was by the architect <b>Luis Ortiz Lazcano<\/b>, who imbued it with a distinctive rustic style: note the large stone kiosk, whose concrete pillars masterfully imitate <b>tree trunks and branches<\/b>, organically blending with the surrounding pine and oak forest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"7\" class=\"translation-block\"><b>The Experience: Views and the Challenge of the Steps<\/b> The place is ideal for spending the day with the family, as it has grills and tables in the shade. However, there are two experiences that define the visit:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"8,0,0\" class=\"translation-block\"><b>The Panoramic View:<\/b> From the main kiosk you can see everything: the checkerboard of red tiles of P\u00e1tzcuaro, the <b><a class=\"ng-star-inserted\" href=\"https:\/\/villapatzcuaro.com\/visitpatzcuaro\/en\/loc\/lago-de-patzcuaro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-hveid=\"0\" data-ved=\"0CAAQ_4QMahgKEwjJm_PI6qGRAxUAAAAAHQAAAAAQ0AU\">Lake P\u00e1tzcuaro<\/a><\/b>, the islands and the surrounding mountains.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-path-to-node=\"8,1,0\" class=\"translation-block\"><b>The 400 Step Challenge:<\/b> For the more adventurous, there is a long and steep stone staircase with <b>more than 400 steps<\/b>.
